Getting to know Coach Bono: Â Coach Bono has been with us since the start coaching 4 to 18 year old's! She enjoys creating long-term relationships with the young women who look up to her. We couldn't be more lucky to have such a great role model for our young players! When she isn't coaching lacrosse she is working in the athletic department at Fenwick High School, we can't wait to see her grow the Fenwick girls lacrosse program.

Getting to know Coach Kelly: Coach Kelly is the current Head Coach at Illinois Wesleyan University and graduated as one of the most accomplished players in the program's history. Coach Kelly holds records at IWU for goals and points, and holds the top two records for points in a season. Coach Kelly was a two time IWLCA Zag Sports DIII Academic Honor Roll recipient, four time CCIW Academic All-Conference Award Recipient, 2019 Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference Honoree, three time CCIW First Team All-Conference, Great Lakes First Team All Region recipient in 2019, Great Lakes Second Team All Region in 2018, 2018 Google Cloud Academic All District Team honoree, and the recipient of the CCIW Merle Chapman Leadership award. Coach Kelly was named the 2021 Positive Coach of the Year by the IGLCA while serving as the head coach at Lockport High School for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Getting to know Coach Considine: Coach Jerry founded East Ave to provide a quality lacrosse experience to the youth in his hometown while studying finance and math at UIC. After five years coaching at the JV and freshmen level at Fenwick HS Jerry was promoted to the varsity head coach  where the team won the 2018 Sectional Championship. Coach Jerry has over a decade of coaching experience and has been coaching girls lacrosse over the last five years.

Getting to know Coach Luxem: Coach CC took over as the head coach at Lyons Township high school last year after playing at the high school and coaching the JV program. Coach CC was the teams captain and co MVP her senior year. Coach CC went on to play club lacrosse at Marquette University. When Coach CC is not coaching she is working as a speech pathologist.

Getting to know Coach Szmajda : Coach Danielle is the former Head Coach at North Central College and graduated from North Central as the all-time leading scorer! In five seasons, she has guided North Central to an overall record of 58-20, qualifying for the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournament in four seasons, with the conference tournament not being held in 2020.

Getting to know Coach Berni: Coach Maddie was on our first ever East Ave girls high school team and is now one of our youth coaches! When Coach Maddie is not in town coaching she is starting at attack for the Carthage Women's Lacrosse team and studying to be a nurse. Maddie's playing experience makes her an incredible role model and resource for our players.

Getting to know Coach Giacotto: Coach Margaux was on our first ever East Ave girls high school team and now is a youth coach for us. Few players can match the passion that Margaux brings to the game and it shows every time she laces up for Carthage College and has resulted in multiple conference defensive player of the week awards! We are so lucky to have such a hard working role model for our players.

Getting to know Coach Doten: Coach Doten went to Lyons Township high school and was an eight-time varsity letter winner in cross country and lacrosse. Named to all conference and varsity MVP her senior year for lacrosse. Coach Doten then went on to play lacrosse at Allegheny where she had a strong freshmen year. Coach Doten missed her sophomore year with an injury and came back her junior year as team captain. Coach Doten is a literacy teacher focusing on elementary schools. Â Coach Doten just moved back to the area from Milwaukee and is excited to start coaching with us!

Getting to know Coach Ristau: Coach Meghan has over 10 years of coaching experience at the high school and youth level! Ristau is the current JV coach at OPRF high school and is excited to start coaching future Huskie lacrosse players and teach them what it takes to compete at the high school level. When Coach Ristau is not coaching she is working as a digital support content specialist.

Getting to know Coach Wagner: Coach Wags played lacrosse at OPRF, now she coaches at the high school and helps prepare middle schoolers in Oak Park and River Forest for high school lacrosse. Coach Wags is easily the most fun and creative coach we have always knowing how to communicate with each player. When Coach Wags is not coaching she is working for a nonprofit that helps people who are affected by homelessness and poverty to improve their lives. This year Coach Wags is the varsity assistant, she has been the JV coach in the past years.
